Time Bomb
A briefcase containing two monitors and a tangle of exposed wires counts down towards a staged explosion. The screens act as digital triggers, marking time not as duration but as suspense, each second a step closer to a violent event that never quite arrives. This object captures a tension rooted in contemporary experience: the sense of ongoing crisis, both real and mediated. Anticipation becomes its own condition, where the threat of catastrophe is more persistent than the event itself. It’s less a device and more a metaphor for a world gripped by constant alert.
